2012

On December 11th, 2012, in the Abbé Grégoire auditorium, CNAM (Paris, 3rd arrondissement)
Organized by: Aviesan's Molecular and structural bases of living organisms thematic multi-organization institute (ITMO), in partnership with the AllEnvi alliance's Sustainable Chemistry Group

The aim of this scientific symposium is to present the main topics of this field, bring this community further into the spotlight, organize it better and thereby promote new vocations. The scientific prospects in synthetic biology as well as ethical and social questions will be discussed.
Various fields of synthetic biology will be presented throughout the day, in the form of scientific lectures or more general presentations, by well established groups and very young researchers alike, involved in the field.
Round table discussions will be held with various scientific figures renowned in synthetic biology in France and institutions, during which they will discuss actions aimed at promoting training and research in synthetic biology.
An (optional) questionnaire may be filled in during registration. This has been drawn up with a view to creating a "directory" of the scientific community(ies) interested in synthetic biology.
